The Narrow Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

-Matthew 7:13-14

As I read this verse, something struck me. It became clear that it's not enough to apply the word to our spiritual battles. It's not enough to apply the word to our emotional battles. It's not enough to apply the word to our financial battles. The word must apply to every area of our lives. So now it is time to be intentional about applying the word to our HEALTH & FITNESS.

Chances are… If you aren’t personally dealing with chronic disease then you know someone who is. We have gotten to a place where things like high blood pressure and diabetes have become “just a part of getting older.” Well I am here to say this does not have to be the case for you, your family, or anyone in the entire kingdom. While prayer is essential to protection and healing, there is still work required. It takes work to be intentional about making a change.

Now if you want to join this journey, understand THE GATE IS NARROW. There is no quick & easy way to serve God with your life, and this includes your health. So am I saying that you can't order that waist clincher to get your curves popping? Or that juice detox is a bad idea? Not exactly. What I am saying is that those quick fixes will not bring you any closer to meeting your health goals. Things that come easy are often fleeting, and there's not enough time in the world for temporary change.

You’ve been promised an abundant life, but you’ve also been instructed to enter by the narrow gate. You’ve been warned that it will not be easy. Changing your habits WILL NOT BE EASY. Incorporating healthy eating and fitness will not be easy. Ordering the grilled chicken option at chickfila might not be easy. But in the end it will be so worth it to serve God at your best… spiritually, mentally, and physically.

What a beautiful day to be Full On Faith.
